Technical Officer - Communication - Job Code-1435

The Centre for Stem Cell Research (a unit of inStem, Bengaluru) and Christian Medical College, Vellore in collaboration with National Health Mission, Odisha invites applications on purely temporary basis for the post of  Technical Officer (communications) to work under the project titled: ‘Control of Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Disease in Odisha’.

Work Location: 

Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Should be ready to travel extensively in remote areas of Odisha.

Eligibility and requirements:

Essential:

  • PG in Mass communications/ MBA in Public Relations/ MBA in Media Management/, Masters in Mass Communication (MMC) / MMC in Audio Visual / PGD in Advertising / Marketing communications / Public Relations
  • Good command over computer applications; such as MS Office, Adobe Photoshop, etc.
  • Good skills in report writing, communication and Media management.
  • Proficiency in design and publishing communication resources.
  • Should have strong written and oral communication skills in English, Hindi, and Odia
  • Ready to travel extensively in Odisha.

Desirable:

  • Age - not more than 35 years.
  • Experience in working with NGO/Govt. program implementation/ health education/capacity building/training in health /development sector.

Deliverables:

  • Write, edit, and distribute content, including publications, press releases, website content, annual reports, speeches, and other marketing material that communicates the project activities of the institution.
  • Support and guide district coordinators in formulating communication interventions with a behavior change focus.
  • Respond to media inquiries, arrange interviews, and act as a spokesperson for the organization.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with journalists, and maintain a media database.
  • Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the brand, and coordinate publicity events as required.
  • Maintain records of media coverage and collate analytics and metrics.

Remuneration: commensurate with experience
